Lucas Oil Products is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking
Learning and Development Manager to join our HR team. This
individual will play a key role in shaping and executing strategies
that align employee growth with the company's business objectives.

position offers an exciting opportunity. In addition to leading the
development of our learning strategy, the L&D Manager will
oversee the performance review and goal management processes across
the organization. You will be responsible for guiding the personal
and career development of plant staff, ensuring they achieve their
full potential.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP of HR to build and refine the overall
learning and development strategy for the entire organization.
Ensure alignment with the company's business objectives and
culture.
- Develop and implement cohesive learning and development
frameworks for all departments, functions, and locations within the
organization, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Lead the company-wide performance review process and goal
management system. Ensure performance tools and processes are
effective in driving employee growth and aligning individual goals
with organizational priorities.
- Partner with business leaders to identify key skill and
competency gaps across teams. Design and develop targeted training
and development programs to address these needs and support
employee growth.
- Create, implement, and refine leadership development programs
aimed at maximizing productivity, performance, engagement, and
closing skill or knowledge gaps within management teams.
- Train and coach managers on how to use tools and strategies to
develop their teams effectively. Provide guidance on employee
training and career development to foster a high-performing work
environment.
- Partner with HR, Safety, and Manufacturing teams to roll out
role-specific training programs that ensure compliance with
internal quality standards and external certifications such as ISO
9001.
- Oversee the management of current development and performance
tools. Identify new tools and resources that can better support
employee development and organizational performance
objectives.
- Continuously research and evaluate training and development
solutions, recommending innovative approaches to influence and
change employee behaviors, improve competencies, and drive
organizational success.
- Regularly track and analyze training and performance / goal
cycle outcomes, using data to ensure efforts align with broader
organizational goals and deliver measurable results in terms of
employee and organizational performance and growth.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's structure,
culture, and business objectives. Use this knowledge to design
training programs and processes that reinforce the company's values
and strategic priorities.
- Communicate tactfully and politely with employees when
explaining policies and answering questions.
- Maintain confidential information when required by legal and
ethical standards of professionalism to ensure privacy of employee
records.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, Organizational Development,
Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Learning & Development, Talent
Management, or a similar role, with a track record of developing
and delivering successful training programs. Experience in a
manufacturing setting is a bonus.
- Ability to design and facilitate curriculum based on business
insights.
- Knowledge of talent development methodologies and techniques,
instructional design and excellent presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of performance management systems and
processes.
- Must have a confident, motivated and flexible attitude.
- Strong team player who can work cross-functionally and across a
multi-site organization.
- Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment (Excel, Word for
Windows) required.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are
necessary.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to our manufacturing site in
Corydon, Indiana.
