Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain an approved "call-in" list to call in replacements if someone calls off. Review all applications, hire and train new employees to keep shifts filled and an up-to-date call-in list at all times.
  • Monitor time sheets and/or automated clock in/out, Shift Reports, and Bundle Log daily for accuracy, and adjust hours to avoid overtime.
  • Perform duties for any shift worked as described on the shift report, the Employee Handbook, and as requested by the Owners.
  • Store Managers must work four shifts per week, Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 3 PM, creating 8 hours of float time to monitor employees, fill-in for call-offs, and assist on busy shifts.
  • Be ready to pull any shift if someone calls off and a call-in person cannot be found.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. If unresolved, obtain the customer's name, address, and contact information, alert the Owner on call, and agree on an action to be taken. Document the situation and resolution for the Owners.
  • Assign staff members additional duties using the blank spaces on the Shift Report to keep the store and parking lot clean and orderly.
  • Review each staff member's work by visiting their shift at least once per week and monitoring via security systems online periodically. Bring any issues to the Owners' attention and carry out disciplinary actions only after notifying them.
  • Check supply levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for daily tasks. If not, retrieve supplies from the manager closet. Ensure all washers, dryers, and vending machines are stocked, working, and clean.
  • If a coin changer, VTM, or B2B machine goes out of service, notify the Owner on call via text message. If they cannot respond, go to the bank or grocery store for necessary supplies.
  • Distribute supplies at least once per day to prevent shortages. Monitor supply usage for misuse or shrinkage, and keep a list of inventory items needed, notifying the Owner on call a week in advance.
  • Maintain paperwork, including: (A) review time sheets daily for accuracy; (B) ensure the laundry bundle log book is accurate; (C) review inventory items daily; (D) ensure all shift reports are completed correctly; (E) prepare for the Owner on call the Manager Summary Report, time sheets, Shift Reports, inventory sheets, and laundry bundle logs in the correct order before payday.
  • Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies such as machine floods, customer issues, or other urgent matters.
